The Brooklyn Bridge represented the change from rural to urban America and symbolized modern America.  Brooklyn Heights was the first commuter suburb in the United States.  Brooklyn Heights has some of the most outstanding brownstones in New York City.  Marty Schneit will talk about the first great battle in the American Revolution which occurred at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn known as the Battle of Brooklyn.
