In this hour-long session we will learn and practice Dragon’s Way Qigong (pronounced "chew-gong"), a traditional Chinese energy practice used to heal and revitalize the body. Part of Grandmaster Nan Lu’s Wu Ming Qigong lineage, the Dragon’s Way movements consist of both moving and still postures. The exercises are easy to learn and can be practiced almost anywhere, no matter what your level of physical health and ability.
Originally created for weight-loss and stress-management, the Dragon’s Way program addresses a range of chronic health issues (back pain, digestive issues, fatigue, etc.), while teaching participants how to calm over active minds and lose weight.
Primarily experiential, the session will also include discussion of practical strategies for extending Qigong practice to our daily lives when we’re not exercising: connecting to nature and managing our energy, stress and emotions. No special workout clothes are required. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Shoes will be removed during class.
